The term inaul refers to the traditional handwoven cloths of the Maguindanao people of Mindanao. It typically features colorful stripes or bands. It is usually worn as a malong or wraparound skirt, but can also be made into a sash, scarf, or other accessories. Inaul pieces are regarded as precious heirlooms and are prized over machine-made textiles.
