The kutyapi or kudyapi is a two-stringed instrument in the shape of a boat played like a lute or guitar. It is common among Mindanao indigenous groups and goes by many names. This example no longer has its strings and fingerboards. The instrument’s body has curvilinear okir forms that are prevalent in Maranao decorations.
