Description


Made from hollowed out coconut or jackfruit wood, this goblet-shaped debakan (drum) is the only non-gong element in the kulintang ensemble. Goat skin secured with rattan rings is used for its drumhead or tympanum, while its body features a pako rabong (fern) motif.
