Dawn at the Chinese Garden presents a serene back view of the Chinese Garden, one of the attractions of Rizal Park in Manila. The clear and calm water is effectively rendered in watercolor.
This artwork was awarded the first prize in the Watercolor Category of the 20th Shell National Students Art Competition in 1970. The category was also introduced this year.
