ABOUT:
Featuring timeless still life and unique cooking accessories from the museum’s current exhibition Intertwined: Transpacific, Transcultural Philippines, learn how to translate physical objects into acrylic paintings.
Session 1 | Sept 17, 2022 | 10am-11:30am |1.5 hours | Online via Zoom
· Virtually meet your facilitator and classmates through icebreaker activities
· Learn and practice the basic principles and techniques of acrylic painting
Session 2 | Sept 24, 2022 | 10am-12:00pm | 2 hours | Onsite at Ayala Museum
· Visit the Ayala Museum, hear stories of food during the Galleon Trade, and learn how they contribute to the Philippines’ rich intertwined cultural heritage
· Apply the techniques you learned by painting your own still life artwork
Session 3 | Oct 1, 2022 | 10am-12:00pm | 2 hours | Onsite at Ayala Museum
· Review the new ideas learned from the previous session through games and activities
· Individual Work & Consultation (continue practicing the tips and tricks you learned, render your favorite foods to eat and share the stories behind them, one-on-one consultation)
· Class presentation of participants’ works
